Torrenting with TunSafe

It seems torrenting traffic leaking from TunSafe or Wireguard, any good advice to tunnel Torrenting traffic?

Re: Torrenting with TunSafe

I got my own WireGuard on a torrent friendly hosting provider but I want to use the VPN for only torrenting. I cannot seem to find a way to do this on Windows. On macOS I can do it with L2TP but not tunsafe/wireguard.

Re: Torrenting with TunSafe

You need to set up the Windows routing table for "source address routing" over the VPN. Then you bind your client to the VPN IP address.

For Windows, if the program specifies a source IP address, the routing table is searched but only for routes that can be reached from that source interface.

You have to let the VPN create two routing table entries with 128.0.0.0 (for IPv4) as a netmask, which would change the default gateway to the VPN, except that you then put back the original default gateway by adding four routing table entries with 192.0.0.0 as a netmask. Something similar has to be done for IPv6 if you want to use that. This way when you bind the program to the VPN interface, the entries with the 192.0.0.0 netmask are ignored, leaving the VPN as the default gateway,

Re: Torrenting with TunSafe

Done that way the scripts I use for OpenVPN should work for this.

I run a .bat script before I start the VPN which scans shareit apk the output of the Windows "route" command to determine the original default gateway IP addresses (both IPv4 and IPv6) and adds entries to hide the VPN gateway.
