Re: TunSafe Android client 1.0 available in Play Store

We have a new TestFlight link for iOS:
https://testflight.apple.com/join/Ekn13XW2

The reason is that it's a new appstore account.

Re: TunSafe Android client 1.0 available in Play Store

I've been using TunSafe on Windows for almost two months now and I love it. Fast, no dropped connections, it just works.

On Android, I've been using the Wireguard client and that works very well, too. When the TunSafe client was released, I thought I'd give it a try because it has a nicer UI.

While TunSafe for Android can connect to the public TunSafe servers, I was only able to connect to my private server two or three times. Now it just gets stuck at "Connecting" and nothing happens after that. Since there is no (visible) log, I have no idea what's going on under the hood.

To sum up: on the exact same Android device and at the same time, the Wireguard client can connect to my personal server while the TunSafe client can't. Of course, the configuration is identical (imported from config file).

Re: TunSafe Android client 1.0 available in Play Store

Hello everybody and Happy New Year!

I've been using the android client for a while now and it's been working great!

One problem though: After installing android version Pie, it stopped reconnecting automatically after I turn on or restart the phone. The connection restarts only after opening the app itself. Is there anything I could do to fix this?

Oh, and I agree with Mike in that it would be awesome with a notification tile for quick access! smile

Re: TunSafe Android client 1.0 available in Play Store

The only acceptable way of using an Android phone is without a Google account. In that case you use Yalp Store, which is a Google Play replacement. However, Tunsafe when downloaded from Yalp Store, simply does not work. The Google Play download works fine. It should be the exact same package so how is this possible? The Wireguard app from Yalp works just fine as do 99% all other apps.

Re: TunSafe Android client 1.0 available in Play Store

When can we expect a new Android version that supports the v1.5-rc2 features (TCP, obfuscation)?

Thanks,
Jan

Re: TunSafe Android client 1.0 available in Play Store

Hello, l just found out about Wireguard and Tunsafe yesterday. I installed the Android version from Google play store, I think there maybe a problem with the default config files that come in the app. I live in the USA inTexas, the auto connect connects to the Netherlands, l think it should be connecting me to a closer server. I went to manually select a server and noticed that both New York and London have no ping numbers. When I disconnected and tried to connect to New York, the connection would not complete. I disconnected and tried London, London would connect, but my web browser could not find any sites. On your web site it shows that all servers are up! Believe it's a problem with the config files.

Possible solution: have app on first connect download new config files and fix ping numbers so auto connect can find best server.

Hi lostcowboy,

I'm new to TunSafe as of yesterday. Your observation above is also what I am experiencing.

I was surprised to find that this application was there. Anyway, I really liked seeing the compromise.
Thanks
