Windows Config File Setup

I'm a casual home user who just switched to Mullvad VPN and I noticed they have Wireguard servers.

I downloaded TunSafe for Windows and I'm trying to get it up and running.

Mullvad has a list of their servers along with their public keys here: https://mullvad.net/en/guides/our-vpn-servers/

I'm not sure how to use this information in the config file.  I can generate a keypair, but obviously the public key generated is different from the public key listed by Mullvad.  Is the "public key" listed by Mullvad really a pre-shared key?

I've tried all sorts of different configs in an effort to get it working, but the handshake always fails.  I've also gone to the WireGuard site and it's not much help.

Any guidance would be appreciated.  I'm really just tinkering with a new toy and I realize everything is experimental and potentially unsafe.

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Re: Windows Config File Setup

Their key pairs are generated using your account number as shown here https://www.mullvad.net/en/guides/wireg … llvad-vpn/

The only way I see this working with TunSafe is if you were to setup their Wireguard servers on Linux and then copy the key pair into TunSafe. Otherwise I recommend using Azire Wireguard servers found here https://www.azirevpn.com/cfg/wg as they're free for an unknown amount of time for load testing purposes. All that's required is a username and password, no email.

Edit: Mullvad has now released a wireguard configuration generator found here https://mullvad.net/en/download/wireguard-config/
